Thanks for the quick response but I don't have that dir on my system. I do have this which is where the symlinks in rc.d point: blacklamb# pwd /usr/local/libexec/courier-imap blacklamb# ll total 67 drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jun 29 15:12 authlib -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 3920 Jun 29 15:12 courierlogger -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 48432 Jun 29 15:12 couriertcpd -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 1586 Jun 29 15:12 imapd-ssl.rc -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 1583 Jun 29 15:58 imapd.rc -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 5848 Jun 29 15:12 makedatprog -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 1572 Jun 29 15:12 pop3d-ssl.rc -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 1460 Jun 29 15:12 pop3d.rc Unfortunately running a './imapd.rc start' in this dir as root makes the same error I describe above.
