I am trying to install the vmware3 port.
osage# uname -a FreeBSD osage.telecom.ksu.edu 5.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE #0: Thu Aug 21 23:27:06 CDT 2003 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/OSAGE i386 osage# pwd /usr/ports/emulators/vmware3 osage# make install ===> vmware3-3.2.1-2237_1 is marked as broken: Kernel source files required.
okay, fine, the source files ARE installed
/usr/ports/emulators/vmware3/Makefile line 40 says: SRC_BASE?= /usr/src
shouldn't that be: SRC_BASE?= /usr/src/sys
anyway, i did that, it compiled and starts up. just letting anyone who may care know about it.
Well I'll be darned.. that was going to be one of my questions about installing VMWare... although VMW is up to Version 4.02 now... Amazing.
Did you have to install vmware_xf4mod-1.0 port first?
