I am trying to install the vmware3 port.

osage# uname -a

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/OSAGE i386
osage# pwd
osage# make install
===> vmware3-3.2.1-2237_1 is marked as broken: Kernel source files

okay, fine, the source files ARE installed

/usr/ports/emulators/vmware3/Makefile line 40 says:
SRC_BASE?= /usr/src

shouldn't that be:
SRC_BASE?= /usr/src/sys

anyway, i did that, it compiled and starts up. just letting anyone who may care know about it.

Well I'll be darned.. that was going to be one of my questions about installing VMWare... although VMW is up to Version 4.02 now... Amazing.

Did you have to install vmware_xf4mod-1.0 port first?
