I have with me a USB 10/100 Ethernet which is currently not being recognised by my FreeBSD-4.8_RELEASE-p5
The packaging name is Billionton, however it doesnt match any of the device listed in sys/dev/usd/usbdevs.
My kernel is compiled with all the USB Ethernet device drivers - aue,
kue, cue
Booting my box with the device attached, however, merely results in it being attached the device name ugen0.
I think this hardware should work with device rue, but the man page says: "The rue device driver first appeared in FreeBSD 5.1."
Sighs. Not in 4-x ? Thats a pity .... for me at least
