Hi all,
It's been a while since I've let you know where I'm up to so I thought
I'd chip in.

It's been a bit of a slow week for FreeCard development as my paid work
wore me out this week while working some really odd hours (for the
record, flicking between Australian, US and European time is a really
bad idea). Anyway, I have managed to make some progress despite all
that. I've added support for a few more field properties and (*trumpet
fanfare*) menu support!

Menu's in HC are really simple so that support is almost completely
done, I just need to add support for removing them again since I had
forgotten about that. :) There is potential for a lot of extra
functionality to emerge when we decide the best way to go about it
though which is good to see. Oh, and the menubar will appear at the
top of the screen on Mac (where it belongs :) and at the top of the
window on Windows and UNIX. In both cases the same menubar is used
across all stacks. Currently if there are no open stacks there is also
nothing in the menubar, but that's a fairly simple fix for when I get
around to it.

If you do check out the source code for a look, don't forget that I'm
just working on the runtime, so there's no GUI available for moving
objects around, creating objects etc, nor can you write FreeTalk and
expect it to work (nowhere to enter it yet anyway). To have a play
with it you need to edit org.ufp.freecard.TestHarness.java and manually
create objects, set properties etc.

Still coding away....

Adrian Sutton.
