Yeah, I thought you'd like that. :) This is the big advantage of Java, we don't have to implement our own engine and reinvent the wheel again - it's all been done for us, we just map FreeCard on top of the Java VM and we're done. There are certainly some tricky things for us to deal with but I'm very confident that I can make it all come together. > I can imagine all kinds of Web/Stack combinations. Bah, you ain't seen nothing yet! Why make people load up FreeCard and browse the web from there? Why not browse the web with your browser of choice and when they get to your page, hey presto! a FreeCard stack loads? Oh, and I've already implemented that functionality. :) Another big reason I like having Java as a backend. Of course, right now that feature is pretty tricky to use and the Stack will popup in a new window instead of sitting in the browser itself but it's not a bad start. Once I get the runtime engine finished off, I can start looking at adding an interface to it and that will a) be when FreeGUI and FreeCard merge into a finished product and b) I add a fairly simple JavaScript file to the mix which allows you to embed a FreeCard stack into a web page with just one simple JavaScript call. > Alain Farmer Adrian Sutton. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
