Great if this is fixed now but it is possible this is a tileset issue.
Some tilesets are missing some graphics; the corresponding query calls
return NULL for the sprite but some code will then crash on a NULL sprite.
What tileset did you originally get the crashes with? Are you testing
with the same one?
In general it is not well documented which sprites are optional and
which are mandatory. This should be on the TODO list (along with making
better tileset documentation in general).
