Having just fixed the reported problems with city sentence fragments
(PR#39973), was discouraged to discover another flavor of the same
problem in client/text.c get_nearest_city_text():

_("far from %s")
_("near %s")
_("in %s")

"%s" [thankfully without translation]

or "" [empty]

This is used in only one place, on a new line after the unit description
showing its home city.  SDL duplicates the code for citydlg.c.

Shouldn't this at least have a TRANS: describing each?

How much trouble is/was this for translators?
