Details:
With the script ./civ it should be possible to start different guis using:
# ./civ --gui <gui>
This does not work as the option --gui <gui> is used as option for the client
resulting in something like
# ./civ --gui gtk
Running ./client/freeciv-gtk2
Encodings: Data=UTF-8, Local=UTF-8, Internal=UTF-8
Unrecognized option: "--gui"

The attached patch solves the problem, but there could be better solutions
...
