Reading the saved event cache:
* gavin lost connection (it is written in the cache).
* gavin probably reconnects but the event isn't saved (bug #15923).
* bernd probably takes "Winston Churchill" but the event isn't saved (bug
#16678).
* bug #15439 does the rest.
