Follow-up Comment #10:
Looking offending macro more closely I see no reason why it should be
compiled with c++ compiler. From the comments it seems that this macro comes
from ac-archive. Maybe it's meant to a bit different use-case than that of
freeciv?
Attached untested patch just removes use of c++ compiler in configure check
(meaning C-compiler will be used instead)
These sqlite checks do not exist in S2_3, so there must be another/second
problem.
