Details:
If one log message A was repeated exactly twice, followed by a different log
message B, the log can erroneously contain A B B instead of A A B, due to a
bug. (I thought I was going mad.)
(The logging of the source of repeated messages is misleading too, but that
can wait for another ticket.)
