Follow-up Comment #4, patch #5474 (project freeciv):

Oops, I didn't see that your forests are "tall". I would add them to the
mountains for map2oil, because my script sorts all tiles by size for a given
input tileset (to find dupes later.)

About the random effect: At the moment amplio2 mountains + hills + forests +
jungles use t.l1.terrain_n?e?s?w? for 2^4=16 tags for matches with four
neighbours (NE, SE, SW, NW). If all you want is a random tile you could simply
use t.l1.terrain1 up to t.l1.terrain16.

I'd miss visual details, but apparently the amplio2 hills + forests + jungles
are not designed for matching, they only need a random effect.

At first glance your forests are also not designed for matching. For the
amplio2 mountains I'm not sure. If enumerations (1..16) would be good enough,
it would free a layer for additional land+water matching experiments.

Background, in map2oil I ran out of layers for the not yet existing deep ocean
coasts in water.png, because I wanted to test ocean vs. water vs. mixed
solutions in three tilespecs for one tileset.
