Follow-up Comment #1, bug #23392 (project freeciv):
Problem is the --bind localhost
freeciv-server won't start
--bind 127.0.0.1 does start
I have compiled with ipv6=no
~$ grep localhost /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
