Follow-up Comment #1:
Not only the configure check, but all includes in code were failing because of
missing path part.
In any case it makes sense to have the sdl version specific part in the
include statements instead of relying in that include path always has the
correct subdirectory and never the wrong one (either only the wrong one, or
both wrong and correct).
S2_6 fix attached.
