I had seen it, and chosen to ignore it. This happens regularly. See the
thread about 6 topics below it `Update soon', and the one below that `FreeCol
10.6'. Note also that sourceforge is prone to trolls, particularly anonymous
ones.

*I* look dead if you try to measure a pulse in my shoes. Thank you for your
post pointing out a much more reliable way of determining whether a project
has been abandoned. If anyone feels the need to follow up, you can also point
to the fact that any bug report is usually responded to within a few days, and
that there is regular traffic on this list. If the anonymous poster thinks a
project is dead if it has a 6 or so month release gap, FreeCol has been dead
for much of its existence, as has Microsoft Windows.

It might. http://www.freecol.org/roadmap.html certainly seems to be ignored.
But who is going to do that? FreeCol is a volunteer project. Nothing ever
gets done unless someone wants to do it. Speaking for myself, I like coding,
and write FreeCol code for fun. I do not like deadlines, milestones and
status reporting --- I get quite enough of that at work.

FTR, IMHO the release status remains as I stated in the `FreeCol 10.6' topic.
We still have serious AI bugs.

There are people doing that in some of the forums, and good for them. What
would convince me that the FreeCol project should have a regular trunk release
would be fewer bug reports where it is unclear what version is being used.

Apropos of which, thank you for your high quality bug reports. When 0.10.6
does get released it will be the better for your contribution.

Cheers,
