I already know that tom will never accept my changes for kernel.

I suggest that you stick to the "liberal" rule. Do your own compilation as Bernd suggests, then convince us that your kernel is better and works better than 2035 (and may be eligible as for 2035a). In this case, I see no problem why it should be 2035a. If Tom doesn't like your patches, he will argue why, and you'll have to face it...
