BTW, I now recall one problem with "too many memory": on machines with 64+ Mb of memory, NCACHE2 (from Norton Utilities 8 package) with EXT option (without argument, which selects max of memory) says about zero available memory. I _suggest_, HIMEM should return slightly less, than 64Mb for XMS2.
Michaele, if you wish, I send you ncache2.exe for test. Command line: "ncache2 install ext".
HIMEM XMS 2.0 query memory call throttles free memory to return max of 63M-64K as of sometime earlier this year. NCACHE2 should work with that amount.
