I am frustrated as I tried to compile SEAL, just to get too many errors. I feel sorry for the fate of SEAL.
SEAL 1.x used to be extremely picky about the versions of applications it wanted to build with: only Allegro 3.12, DJGPP so and so, etc. SEAL 2.0.x can build with any version of Allegro 4.x, but it may not like certain DJGPP/gcc versions, etc. You also need a specific FreeType version, and so on.
Why not update the source package and the programming documentation to allow someone to carry on?
Unfortunately, the code as it is is really a large mess. I'm just speaking to one of the many maintainers who came in after me who did a bit of work, to see what they changes: I might be able to do something with it.
Right now though, I'm working on updating OSPlus Text Editor (http://osplus.sf.net/)... it was a bit of a mess until a couple of days ago. Still is a bit of a mess, but it's a tidier mess. ;-)
