I assume you're using the speed patch for Borland Pascal that lets it run compiled applications on fast CPUs without error , if needed. One or more versions of Borland Pascal do require that patch.

If you already use/don't need the patch, you can send me the EXE version of the hello world example and I'll see what's up with it.

The error could be Borland's. They have at least two known faults in their DOS products out there.
