It's unfortunate that glibc doesn't mention the license on their web site - you'd think that would be the first place to look. But you're right - it's not there, or at least I can't seem to find it either. I did grab the 20MB tar.gz file from the GNU site, and they do state the library is covered under the GNU LGPL. They also distribute the GNU LGPL as COPYING.LIB. -jh -- I'm sorry my president's an idiot.
