Maybe some tools can be removed from the distro.... f.e. only include ONE compiler (DJGPP or OpenWatcom), ONE partition "editor" which works (Extended FDISK) etc. A poll at the homepage could answer the question which ones. And since we are after 1.0, f.e. old less used programs could be removed (f.e. I have never used FDISK, I use XFDISK every time). Again from the homepage: "If you are new to DOS, we recommend you use an emulator to install and boot FreeDOS." Most user KNOW that they can use an emulator now... I would remove this sentense, because it isn't good, to tell new users, that they SHOULD use another host-operating-system. (btw: Window's QEMU can also be used in DOS with HX-Extender. So....it is possible to use an old MS-DOS as underlying OS :-) > > A lot of people will have a wishlist, with few people willing to put > work in it (nowadays I'm enjoying end-user programs more than pure > messing around). Yes! > thanks to people like Japheth for keep on developing complex software :) Yes!! Thanks to him! (Das kann man nicht oft genug sagen ;-) Hasta pronto!
