I'm not an OW expert, but _fmalloc() is known by the OW small model RTL.

Off topic question: how can I make the XBDA (eXtended Bios Data Area) move to 
"somewhere else" in FreeDOS? I tried the documented "switches=/E" in 
config.sys, but there was no effect at all?
