The advantage of GEM however is that it can execute pretty much any (Free)DOS program, so not only GUI programs, while microwindows seems to support only specifically created programs. But then I haven't bothered yet to try out microwindows, but I think it would be more fruitful as far as (Free)DOS is concerned if people would spend some energy on adapting and improving GEM instead of completely re-inventing the wheel over and over again...
