I believe our long term goals and values are to make sure FreeDOS is and
remains free and open. FSF "acceptance" is aspirational for FreeDOS, as we
do not strongly align to FSF as other free software projects do (for
example: GNOME or Debian). But yes, "free software" and "open source
software" are core / long-term FreeDOS values.

Maybe this could be documented better, though. And I think that's what you
are suggesting.
