What exactly are you missing from freecom.com that exists in command.com 5.0
that isn't trivially fixable?

It's prolly fine for most purposes. I haven't actually used it in years
because I've mostly stuck to PC DOS, since I've had better luck generally
speaking with it and because I tend to prefer a more pared-down DOS.
