Jerome and Bernd replied "+1" to this proposal to replace bmp2png with dosview. No one has argued against it. Dosview can do what bmp2png can do, plus dosview supports other image types and can display images too. My guess is this is kind of a no-brainer, so it's okay to move forward in RC2. :-)
While dosview is versatile, I suggest to keep bmp2png on the bonus CD: - dosview with sources is 19 MB - dosview as binary is 0.7 MB UPXed, or 1.5 MB otherwise - bmp2png and png2bmp are each 127 to 140 kB - the zipped sources of ...2... are only 47 kB When space is limited, the BMP to and from PNG thing can be useful.
