Hi All, The bug in V8Power Tools VINFO program that detected 486 CPUs was fixed a while back.
The CPU detection override in the Floppy Edition should have been removed at that time. I decided that this oversight should be corrected now for FreeDOS 1.4 instead of putting it off. I removed the small part of the Floppy Installer code that automatically assumed (unless overridden by the user) that results less than a 386 were incorrect. I rebuilt the 1.4 Gold Master and have uploaded it to the server.
