Hi!

Bart, tom, Eric - plz, someone, send me freecom.com (as I understand,
bootable diskette requires only kernel.sys and freecom.com) and
instructions, how to make diskette bootable (to FreeDOS) under MS-DOS.
Sometime ago I sent this request here (or at Topica), but no one answer. :(

PS: I wish to test my boot sector for FAT12.

PS2: How to (better) detect if FAT is FAT12 or FAT16 in boot sector? Only by
division (totalsector-rootsize-fatsizes-reserved)/sectorsize and compare
result (count of clusters) with 4085 (0ff5h)?

PS3: TechHelp says, that 0(f)ff0h-0(f)ff6h are reserved clusters. What this
mean? How FreeDOS handles these numbers?

PS4: As I understand, currently partition start is written in nHidden
(offset 0x1C). Is this common agreement (and, say, Partition Magic will
correct this field when partition will be moved)?
