Under MS-DOS result file is fine, under FreeDOS redirected file is zero size. Noted by Bernd Blaauw.
I don't understand anything. What redirected file?
"RESULT". See command line example above.

Oh, I see! The command line is so tense that I just didn't notice the redirections there ;-)

You may replace it by one-line fummy script "q".
Right now I test this with freecom under MS-DOS: redirected file is not empty, so empty redirected file is bug of kernel.

Damn, you're right! :-( It's the same with 4DOS! Moreover, the redirected file actually DOES contain the data but it's probably not properly closed, because after this operation, CHKDSK says that the disk has one lost cluster, which after being recovered to FILE0000.CHK, DOES contain the DEBUG output! Redirection works with other programs I tried, but not with DEBUG! And this is so for both MS-DOS DEBUG and FreeDOS DEBUG, as it seems from your and my tests...

So, when I have time (at the week end probably), I'll try to catch the bug. If Bart has time, he may want to overtake me ;-)
