I've started a process of locating and playing some of my old favorite DOS games. It's a great way to waste a few hours. :-)

I've recently found Scorched Earth: http://www.classicgaming.com/scorch/

See also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorched_Earth_(game)

That game was responsible for wasting a lot of my time sophomore year. :-)

I've posted some screenshots if anyone is curious about this game:

If you liked Scorched Earth, you might like Atomic Tanks, available anywhere you can run the Allegro library (Linux, Windows): http://atanks.sourceforge.net/

This is a very similar game. Today, Atomic Tanks has continued the Scorched Earth tradition by wasting a lot of my lunch hour. (It's a very addictive game.)
