So, I was getting ready to use Mandrake 9.2 to carve up my NTFS partition on my new work laptop (only to make room for Fedora) so I thought I'd look up that problem with LG cdrom drives. My Thinkpad CDR/DVD drive wasn't an LG drive, fortunately.

Anyway, I read this special errata page on Mandrake's web site:

I thought it was cool they provided a mention (and a link) to FreeDOS.org if you need a DOS boot floppy.

Another way that FreeDOS gets used.
