Hi Aitor,
sure. Some time ago I tried to find some Corel products for Linux,
and Corel told me they would have sold that part to Xandros. And
Xandros told me they would not be selling that anymore. I think it
was CorelDraw or something - I was interested in knowing whether
there would be a Linux version, but were not trying to buy it for
myself actually...

Checking the Xandros homepage again...
Xandrox Desktop 2 Deluxe contains an high end Wine version, so you
can run MS Office in it. Xandross Desktop 2 Standard contains a normal
good Wine version, so it still runs many Windows programs.
The standard version is only 1 CD-ROM big and only 40 USD, while the
Deluxe version is 89 USD and 2 CD-ROMs...
Recommended: 450 MHz / 128 MB / 3 GB. They actually say nothing about
WordPerfect!

Sure, WordPerfect and OpenOffice.org are 2 very different Office suites.
The latter is more or less a clone of the MS one, but I would not call
it "a mere clone". All three (Corel/Open/MS) are pretty big and complex.

Corel Linux, for historic background, was a Linux which was very easy
to install and which was optimized to coexist with Windows (e.g. it
automatically imported MSIE bookmarks on installation), but it was
somehow insecure and a bit smaller than the other mainstream Linux
distributions which come with many 100 different programs included.
Still it was important because it showed the other Linux distros that
easy use and easy installation are important for unexperienced home users.

Eric.
