Hello everyone, I have a question regarding compilation of C programs under FreeDOS, I doubt this is exclusive to FreeDOS, but anyway, I want to know if there is any solution. The compile time of GCC using Rhide is intolerable, about 20 seconds - even for a very small program. (using a PII 400 Mhz 128MB RAM) whereas on Windows the same would take about 1 second. I'm guessing that it has something to do with caching.

I dont' understand your question. Are you using FreeDOS without a cache or are you unsatisfied with the current LBACACHE?
