Hi All,

I'm setting up a legacy machine with some spare bits I have:

Athlon XP 2100
PC Chips KT266A Motherboard
128MB DDR RAM

120GIG IDE (Partitioned for different OS's)

I'm hoping to dual boot FreeDOS / Windows 98 SE on it.

The concern I have is the Graphics Card. I only have an old low-end
geforce based card at the moment and I presume that won't be compatible
with DOS. Which card would you recommend that would be the best for DOS
games (including the old ones and 3dFX based games) and at the same time
be ok with some more recent stuff on Windows98 SE as well.

Unfortunately I also have a USB Keyboard / Mouse which I hope to be able
to use in FreeDOS and Windows98. This becasue I'm using a USB KVM switch
with 3 computers and would be nice to be able to use this machine
through it too.

Also what about speed. An athlon XP 2100 is very fast for DOS so how do
you get around slowing the processor down for older stuff? And is it
possible to access Samba using FreeDOS?

Thanks a lot!
Eurig Jones
