I have two servers - Novell Netware 6.1 and OpenSuse 10.2 with
MarsNwe-0.99.pl20-584 (emulates Novell Netware 3.11).
Also i have two types clients: with
MS-DOS 6.22 and FreeDOS 1.0("ver /r" gives me this: FreeCom version
0.84-pre2 XMS_Swap[Aug 28 2006 00:29:00]; DOS version 7.10; FreeDOS
kernel build 2036 cvs [version Aug 18 2006 compiled Aug 18 2006]).
Each client connects to one of the servers through IPX with help of
16-bit nwclient v4.13. For starting nwclient user runs bat-file which
executes this:
1)LSL.COM - Novell Link Support Layer for DOS ODI v 2.20;
2)NIC driver; f.e.
ODI9008.COM - UMC UM9008 Ethernet MLID v 1.01,
NE2000.COM - Novell ne2000 Ethernet MLID v 2.10,
O2000.COM - NE2000 Compatible PnP Ethernet MLID v 1.00
3)IPXODI.COM - Netware IPX/SPX Protocol With Mobile Support v3.03;
4)VLM.EXE - Netware virtual loadable module manager v 1.21;
5)LOGIN.EXE - It's a general tool for gain access to the network;
After logining,MS-DOS clients can do all manipulations on each server
- write, read, execute(of course where policy allows it). FreeDOS
clients can read and write only, but they can not run most of
apllications on this servers f.e. important "tool" FoxPro v2.5. Usual,
when freedos-user tries to run application on the server - nothing
happens or Phar Lap Err 45(Can't open EXP file).
