It might be a wrong warning, possibly related to loadhigh. Classic stable FreeCOM 0.82pl3 has almost no LFN, but newer (less stable) FreeCOM 0.84 has LFN at many places. I think you still use /LFN option for DIR, but you also can do SET LFN=Y (for example in autoexec) to enable LFN for most commands with this newer FreeCOM version :-).
