I just checked both the source code and the real FreeCOM
(0.84-pre2 XMS_Swap 2006-08-28) and they both say that
the output of VOL is part of what you would get when you
do DIR and they both do redirect okay for me, no matter
if I say > a.txt or > c:a.txt or >a.txt ... HOWEVER, if
drive H: does not exist, then an "invalid drive" message
is shown on STDERR which is (different from STDOUT) not
redirectable with the ">" syntax in DOS...
