Hello,

To use a non-FAT32 kernel, you have to:
- load the
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/dos/kernel/2042/ke2042_
6f16.zip
file,
- unzip it,
- copy the bin/KERNEL.SYS in place of the one on your boot disk (if you can
easily change it)
Obviously this one should not be put on a FAT32 drive :-)

To get back the FAT32 kernel, you have to perform the same operations with
using
the
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/dos/kernel/2042/ke2042_
6f32.zip
file.
