My primary word processor and accounting programs are DOS. Yes I have "modern" versions for those functions, but I do not consider them to be improvements. It is extra work to chase stuff around a screen.

So what you call "basic" would be one ISO. Then a blivet ISO of anything you want to put on it, but no sources or programming apps. Take a survey. How many want to make or modify DOS apps.

Sources and whatever else is left is archive. With an index/contents included on both ISOs.
