Well UMBs do usually work with PocketDOS. In the default config file provided by PocketDOS a UMB driver is loaded. You can also visit PocketDOS' official website <http://pocketdos.com/> then go to "specifications" to see that UMB is supported. Frankly, FreeDOS is not a good choice of DOS for such a system. It's big. To be honest I felt the same. On PocketDOS' website there're tutorials about installing MS-DOS 6.22 and DR-DOS 7.03. By default it comes with FreeDOS 1.0. All these three systems are significantly smaller in comparison to the latest distributions of FreeDOS. By the way, among MS-DOS 6.22, DR-DOS 7.03 and FreeDOS 1.0, how should I choose the "best" one if I were to? What are the differences?
