Hi,
When using IPA DNS, you should always use ipa tools to manage the DNS
configuration. For more information, please see the chapter Managing DNS
in Linux Domain Identity, Authentication and Policy Guide [1].
There is for instance a description of supported DNS zone types [2]
(master, forward) and a chapter Managing DNS forwarding [3].
