Hello all.

First, I'd like to say a big thank you to all the freenet
developers. It's a really neat concept, with huge potential.

I've looked through the list archives for info on the below, but
didn't find anything. Like the subject says, my first question is about how to
send mail to
long form freemail addresses using mutt, assuming that's even
possible. If I put a long freemail address into the to field, mutt
gives me an error, and puts me back into the to field. If I set
edit_headers to yes in my $HOME/.muttrc, and attempt to put a long
address into the to field while in my editor, I get an error when I
exit the editor back into mutt's compose menu.

Even if I wanted to use short form addresses only, I can't always do
that, since there are freesites out there whose owners provide the long
form address only. So, going back to my question, is it possible to
get mutt to play nice with long form addresses, if so, then how? I
gather from this list's archives that Dave uses mutt. If that's still
correct, then how do you handle this Dave?

If mutt can't do long form addresses, then does someone have a
suggestion for a gnu/linux text console MUA which can do long form
addresses, which has an easy learning curve, and which preferably
comes as a debian package? Thunderbird isn't really an option, since I
have freenet/freemail running on a headless system, and I would prefer
to keep the freemail ports bound to localhost only.

Another option is to send mail by hand, by telneting to the freemail
smtp server. While I could do this occasionally, I would really prefer
not to make a tedious habit of doing that for a bunch of messages.

My second question is regarding a fetchmail error I get when fetching
from the freemail imap server:

1 message for username at localhost.
reading message username at localhost:1 of 1 (138 header octets) (101 body
octets) flushed
fetchmail: mail expunge mismatch (0 actual != 1 expected)
fetchmail: client/server synchronization error while fetching from
username at localhost
fetchmail: Query status=7 (ERROR)

If I try again, there's no problem. Anybody know what is causing this,
and how to fix it?

Any thoughts/suggestions on the above would be much
appreciated. Thanks.

Greg
