Dear Christian, you actually describe things different from what I wanted to have ( and to implement). I have experienced a lack of node without incoming edges, which are still a part of the common hierarchy (and of the map layout), but can be optically used as headings, notes etc. Such nodes can not be obtained just by switching of their colors to the background, because of the following reasons:
* They must not be visible on clouds, * they must not be visible if they cross other node's background, icons texts etc If one wants to make them always present, they should be just started at the root position. In order to see their parent node, such edges have to be displayed if the the node where it comes in are selected. The invisible edges as I see them are flexible, easy to implement and do not require any significantly new model elements. They are very high efficient. That's why I would like to implement them ASAP. Regards, Dimitry ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
