Hello,

Use link to the sources:
http://vclab.atp.rub.de/Src/GPL/HotEqn/HotEqnSrc.zip

The source files contain following text:

Copyright 2006 Stefan Müller and Christian Schmid

This file is part of the HotEqn package.

HotEqn is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
     the Free Software Foundation;
HotEqn is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,
but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of

GNU General Public License for more details.
You should have received a copy of the GNU General Public License
along with this program. If not, see <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/>.

As the home page belongs to the copyright holders, the fact they
distribute the binaries without referencing GPL does not violate the
license itself. Look at
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#ReleaseUnderGPLAndNF :

> (Question) I would like to release a program I wrote under the GNU GPL, but I

> (Answer) To release a non-free program is always ethically tainted, but

I add also the mail I got from Prof. Schmid

I hope that this information is enough for verifying the license.
