Dear Dan, sorry, I'dont have the time to search for the mail in the forums or elsewhere that described this bug, but I can show the point in history.txt where it has been fixed:
Changes made in Freemind 0.8.1: =============================== ... * Encryption: Bug fix for empty encrypted nodes. (That 0.8.1 version has never been released and is not identical to the version we try to release now). These changes have been checked in by me at Thu Jan 12 23:10:12 2006 UTC. (See http://freemind.cvs.sourceforge.net/freemind/freemind/history.txt?view=log&pathrev=fm_060405_integration) And I try to avoid exclamation marks in the future!!
