I prefer it not to be in the plex86.conf in the CVS tree, because it adds a
reference to outside the tree itself, which is not clean. You should keep
a local copy of your own plex86.conf, and replace it with the original
before running diff.

For now, I have replaced the plex86.conf in the CVS tree with the original
version..

However, I think I'll change the config file mechanism to work like VMWare.
VMWare makes config files with

#!/usr/bin/vmware

at the top, so you can simply execute the config file ! That's a lot
easier, and the plex86.conf doesn't have to be moved inside the CVS tree at
all.
I've put this on my TODO list.

I don't think so ;). I am playing around with Go!, which I personally like
a lot better than Fiasco (http://www.soi.city.ac.uk/~gel/go/overview.html).
Go! makes heavy use of segmentation and last time I tried to run it under
plex86 it crashed, but it may be fixed by your latest patch... I'll try it
again soon.
