Contact the VNC project and request or provide them with a modification for
allowing compatibility. If they agree to include it, your problem is solved.

Subject: Bochs-RFB Opinions! Everyone please read.

For those of you that have been reading the mailing list for a while,
you may have heard about my attempt to make Bochs/Plex86 accessible over
a network. My progress was moving rapidly. Things were just falling
together. Then I hit this whole mouse problem. I am trying to use the
RFB protocol from VNC so that all the current VNC viewers will be able
to view the Bochs-RFB servers. I have come to find out that the way RFB
handles mouse events is a little different from how Bochs/Plex86
emulates them. I am to the point where I need to make a decission...
either do what ever I can to make it compatible with current VNC
viewers, or dump compatibility and modify the viewers to work how I need
them. This is where you all come in, I need to know what you think I
should do. What would be in the best interest of the project?
Compatibility means that there are already viewers for Most every OS,
but modifications can lead to better stability (and eventually I could
modify all the current viewers, hopefully with help).

Everyone please let me know your opinions.
