To optimize this for viewing, since it can't be too big, maybe we could
take the various logos for each OS and put them on each cube face.
Like a penguin on one, the BSD daemon creature, etc.
We'd have to ask permission to put logo's from commercial projects
on there, like the Windows logo. If MS doesn't let us, we could
hock the Bill Gates Borg graphic from Slashdot, and stick that
on there instead. :^)
Other ideas, from my slightly warped imagination...
This one's pretty involved. How about an international space-station
looking hub thing (FreeMWare), where all the intergalactic ships
(various OSes) can dock. Picture a penguin shaped and colored
shaceship docked there, a bumble bee shaped one for BeOS, daemon
shaped one for BSD, etc. I keep flashing back to that anime movie
Heavy Metal. :^)
Our maybe we could make the "Free" and "are" parts of a land mass
on either side of a river. Then fashion the M and W into main
members of a bridge superstructure that spans the river.
