Hi,

Currently we have the need to support L2TP tunneling attributes as a proxy
and want to use FreeRADIUS to perform this function. When I looked at the
dictionary files, I found that dictionary.tunnel does not have a complete
definition on the tunneling attributes described in RFC 2868 and the include
statement for this file in the main dictionary is commented out. So, it
leads me to the following questions.

- Does FreeRADIUS 0.2 support L2TP?
- If it does, does it support decrypting and re-encrypting the
Tunnel-Password as a proxy?
- If FreeRADIUS does not support L2TP, does anyone have any L2TP
Tunnel-Password decryption and encryption library function to share? I know
that the Tunnel-Password encryption is very similar to PAP encryption and
FreeRADIUS already have very good MD5 functions. However, there are some
troubles in decoding this attribute. The Tunnel-Password has a field called
TAG. With my limited understanding, this one-octet is optional and I am
confused how to know its existence. So, I just wonder if someone in the
FreeRADIUS user group has done this successfully and is willing to share.

Thanks,

Tim
