I am new also ... here is what I would suggest


radiusd -s -x   This will show you exactly what the radius behavior is
and it doesn't fork a daemon - you still control it from the command
line and can terminate with a ctrl-c.


        I am on freebsd and my configs are stored in /usr/local/etc/raddb - the
files below are the only ones I had to change to get the daemon to work.
Just open them up and read - there is a lot of good information inside
them.
